HEPATITIS B SYMPTOMS

Many people who contacted the Hepatitis B Virus do not experience any symptom; and their immune system may even fight off the deadly Virus without them knowing.
Hepatitis B symptoms usually occur between one to three months of infection. Symptoms differ from person to person. It is highly recommended to see your Doctor any time you experience any of the following Hepatitis B symptoms. Early detection in Hepatitis B infection is very important to its treatment and cure. 

SYMPTOMS OF HEPATITIS B ARE AS FOLLOW: 

1. Loss of Appetite
One of the early symptoms of Hepatitis B infection is reduced desire to eat food, known medically as Anorexia. This eating disorder may be as a result of HBV infection.



2. Abdominal Pain and Discomfort
There are different causes of abdominal pain, which occurs between the chest and pelvic region of the body. Inflammation of any of the organs within this region can cause stomach ache. Hepatitis as the inflammation of the Liver can cause this type of pain.

3. Joint and Muscle Pain
Muscle and Joint stiffness, and pain are some of Hepatitis B symptoms. Joint pain is the ache, discomfort and soreness of the body's joints such as hips, knees, elbows, ankles, shoulders etc. Muscle pain can be experienced on any part of the human body because the muscle tissue is nearly all part of the body.

4. Jaundice
Hepatitis B infection causes the yellowing of the eyes, skin, fingernails and saliva. The yellowish color of the skin and sclerae(white part of the eye) varies depending on the level of Hepatitis B Virus in the person's system.

5. Fatigue and Tiredness
Fatigue is the mental and physical feeling of tiredness and weakness of the muscles. It is characterized by lack of energy and motivation. Fatigue can be caused by different health related challenges. It is however a known Hepatitis B symptom.

6. Nausea
Nausea is the involuntary urge and feeling like you are about to throw up. It usually precede vomiting, though a person may experience nausea without vomiting. Nausea is one of the symptoms of the deadly Hepatitis B virus.

7. Vomiting
The involuntary and forceful throwing up of the contents of ones stomach may be as a result of Hepatitis B infection. In severe cases, excessive vomiting may lead to dehydration.

8. Fever
Feeling feverish is a result of response by the immune system trying to fight off foreign invaders in the human body. These foreign invaders may be Hepatitis B Virus or other viruses, bacterial,  fungi etc.  It is recommended to always go for test to determine the cause of fever.

9. Dark-yellow Urine
Yellowish color of the Urine is one of the symptoms of Hepatitis B Virus or other liver related health issues. Whenever your colored urine is not as a result of dehydration or after effect of medication, you must consult your Doctor for a proper urine examination and analysis. Early detection in Hepatitis B is very important for treatment.

10. Pale Stool
The color of stools vary in persons as a result of diet. However, pale or clay colored stool indicates liver related problems which always occur at the same period with jaundice. Pale colored poo once in a while might not be as a result of health challenges, but when it occurs frequently, then, you may consider consulting your Doctor as that may be an early warning symptom of Hepatitis B Virus.

11. Diarrhea
Diarrhea is a health condition in which  watery or liquid stools are discharged from the bowels frequently. Diarrhea is not a common symptom of Hepatitis B Virus infection, but it does occur in some cases. It is recommended to consult a medical expert to determine the causes of prolonged Diarrhea.

12. Weight Loss
Loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and other Hepatitis B related symptoms can lead to significant reduction of the total body mass. Malnuorishment can occur because of inability to eat well which in turn leads to weight loss. Excessive vomiting leads to loss of body fluid which also affects the body weight. 

13. High Temperature
Feverishness will definitely lead to high body temperature. Temperature of 38C (100.4F) or above is considered high. High temperature is not by itself an illness, but a symptom of an illness which might be Hepatitis B infection. Always see your Doctor if such condition persists.

14. Itchy Skin
Itchiness of the skin is one of the symptoms of Hepatitis B infection during its advanced stage. Most people living with Hepatitis B Virus usually experience rashes that itch on different parts of the body. Severe itching and dryness of the body might be a symptom of advanced liver damage.

15. General Sense of Feeling Unwell
Malaise is the medical name for the health condition in which the person has a general feeling of unwell, pain, uneasiness, or discomfort which is often an early warning indication of an infection. Feeling unwell signifies that something is not right inside. This may be early warning of Hepatitis B infection.
